Personalize Every Email & SMS

Play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the strategic implementation of email, SMS and push notification marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our customers, from acquisition to retention, by leveraging data-driven insights to optimize engagement and conversion rates. This role requires a deep understanding of email and SMS marketing best practices, as well as a passion for delivering personalized, relevant content to our audience.

The Lifecycle Marketing Associate role requires working at least 3 days a week from our Tokyo office in the Shinjuku neighborhood.

[ Your Responsibilities ]

  • Strategy Support — Strategically develop and deploy lifecycle marketing strategies to strengthen revenue streams and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Campaign Coordination — Craft and control comprehensive email and SMS marketing campaigns, including careful segmentation, scheduling, and systematic performance tracking.
  • Teamwork Tuning — Team up with cross-functional groups to ensure marketing efforts are well aligned with broader business goals and cohesive brand messaging.
  • Data-Driven Decisions — Delve into customer data and detailed analytics to discover and drive optimizations and personalizations throughout the entire customer journey.
  • Performance Probing — Persistently probe campaign performance and key performance indicators, pushing proactive, data-driven enhancements.
  • Testing Techniques — Tactically implement A/B testing techniques to tweak email and SMS content, subject lines, and compelling calls-to-action.
  • Insightful Innovation — Stay sharply attuned to industry innovations and insights, integrating cutting-edge ideas and best practices into email and SMS marketing strategies.
  • Regulatory Rigor — Rigorously respect and maintain relevant regulatory requirements, including GDPR and CAN-SPAM, across all marketing communications.
  • Design Dynamics — Dynamically collaborate with the design department to devise visually distinctive email and SMS templates that drive stronger engagement and conversion rates.
  • Reporting and Reflection — Regularly report and reflect on lifecycle marketing initiatives, highlighting key metrics and strategic insights to stakeholders.

[ Your Qualifications ]

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in email and SMS marketing, ideally within an e-commerce or digital marketing setting.
  • Proficiency in key email and SMS marketing platforms such as Braze, Klaviyo, and Bloomreach.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data and making informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for copywriting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with segmentation and personalization in a CRM system or via marketing automation tools is a valuable addition.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization is preferred but not required.
  • A passion for marketing innovation and a proactive approach to staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
